Slow Melting is beautifully drawn romance which follows Yeomin Chae after her boyfriend suddenly breaks up with her. If that wasn’t bad enough, the person who he is leaving Yeomin for is her own sister Nari Chae. This is particularly hurtful to Yeomin as she’s always lived in her step-sisters shadow, he own father choosing his new wife and and step-daughter over her. In a quest for revenge, Yeomin asks Hwan Yun, the grandson of the chairman to marry her.
I love the relationship between Yeomin and Hwan. It’s difficult to explain the details as to why without spoiling too much, but he is always sure to take of her and makes sure she has everything she needs, not only with materials, but with support. He’s such an adorable green flag which is refreshing in a see fo toxic relationships.
He even stands up for her to her parents and sister when they try to give backhanded compliments or try and blame her for situations that had absolutely nothing to do with Yeomin.
I hate Nari and Seungjae with an unforgiveable passion. How dare you treat my precious Yeomin the way that you did?! What makes this even worst is they so nothing in wrong in what they’ve done for themselves, btu then turn around and try to make it seem like Yeomin was doing the same thing. So when they sneak around and have a relationship everyone is fine with it, but they ASSUME that Yeomin has done the same then they are upset and question her integrity.
Sometimes I find myself yelling at my screen for Hwan to just marry Yeomin already! I just want to see the look on Nari’s stupid smug face. Yeomin is so sweet and I’m pulling my hair out waiting to see how this story unfolds.
